Hello, Third Period!

For your ORB written assignment, I am requiring you to make three postings to this blog about your ORB. You must choose three different options from the "blogging options" handout (on First Class). I am looking for your commentary, which should make obvious why your ORB "educates your conscience."

Please, adhere to the expectations explained on the rubric (also on First Class).

Happy blogging!

Molly McGregor Acrostic

J- Judgmental. June was very judgmental towards Lily first of all because she was white and second of all she thought that Lily was overstaying her welcome. Once Lily was on her way to the restroom and overheard August and June's conversation;"'But she's white, August' June said' Lets see if we can help her, we owe her that' August replied"(87)
U- Uninviting. June was not a horrible person but she was very closed. She didn't accept new people like her sister's did and it took more than a sweet thought to win her over. She hated that Lily was white and when Lily came to touch the Black Madonna "As I rose from my chair, my head was still swimming some. I walked toward black Mary with my hand lifted. But just as I was bout to reach her, June stopped playing. She stopped right in the middle of the song, and i was left in the silence with my and stretched out."
N- Noticeable June's personality is definitely full of confidence and bluntness. She played the cello very well and had a boyfriend Neil that just couldn't get him to marry her but after May died she decided that she should just take a chance and marry Neil. He came over planning to ask her to marry him for the hundredth time and all she said was " All right, lets get married"
E- Expressive June expressed her feelings through her music. She played the cello for the daughters of Mary every Sunday and she practiced every chance she got. "June played us a gloomy-sounding song on the cello while August retold black Mary's storying start to finish."
