2. "no matter how talented someone might be, he was always obliged to contribute his efforts to the higher good---the team" -I think this is a great rule to live by. No matter what the team might be, a family or a lacrosse team. This is what Mr. Turnbull said to Jim Lewis when he give him the stick"

3. "every creature should be given the opportunity to succeed, the chance to spread its wings and reach its potential" I thought that this quote was really special. Jim Lewis says this right before he tried to hit a snake that was trying to eat a baby bird with a lacrosse ball.

4. "those to whom much is given, much is expected" I have heard this quote before and I believe it is true. Jim Lewis' high school coach told this to Jim.

5. "the pocket is the soul of the stick" I think this is true in lacrosse as well as in life. the pocket is equal to the brain of a person. Jim says this to Robbie to show him that he should take good care of the pocket.
